Hello everyone!
My special guests this Saturday Night are the iconic singing group THE SKYLINERS! A group from my Doo-wop era, and a group that were way ahead of their time! Not only for their R&B soulful blue-eyed soul man, lead singer JIMMY BEAUMONT, and the sophisticated harmonies of Jazz is the sound of THE SKYLINERS, yes they were very ahead of their time, but also as songwriters.
Proof of that, is their classic iconic mega hit Song “Since I Don’t Have You”, a classic!!! They wrote and recorded a song with a melody that is one of the greatest ever written!
This song has also been recorded by other artists; the likes of GUNS N’ ROSES, heavy metal band, to Country music’s great, RONNIE MILSAP. I’m proud to have the current SKYLINERS as my guest! Our show’s theme this Saturday is songs that reference the sky…in their titles as in, “Come Fly With Me” or like THE SKYLINERS hit recording of “Pennies From Heaven”!
