‘Twisted Sister’ Will Reunite in 2024

80’s glam rock legends ‘Twisted Sister‘ have confirmed their return to the music scene, but it is for one reason, and one reason only.

According to reports, the band’s front man, Dee Snider confirmed that the group will officially reunite in 2024, but it’s for more than an appeal for nostalgia to appease music fans.

The band will only be playing political rallies to perform their 1984 smash hit ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’.

In a recent interview, Snider explained that he is an advocate for free speech, and explained that the only reason he would bring the band back together is to be able express his support in those beliefs. It is a well known fact that Snider agreed to let both the left and right sides of the aisle use ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ at their rallies and events.

When speaking to Yahoo Entertainment, the 68-year old rocker stated:

“Next year, you’re gonna see some Twisted Sister reunions at different political rallies that need our support… The band has a concern that the song is being co-opted by the extreme right … and we want to make sure that people still know it’s a song for everybody and it does not represent that selfish micro group.”

This will be Twisted Sister‘s first time back performing in public since their Jan. 26 reunion at the Metal Hall of Fame before their retirement in 2016.
