The year was 1966 and Mr. S. just finished a summer tour with the magnificent Count Basie Orchestra.
After that cross-country tour, The Chairman and The Count landed at the legendary Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. (When VEGAS was VEGAS!)
Mr. Sinatra respected and always loved working with the great Basie Band.
This album is raw and swingin’ and touching and the absolute finest of these two #JerseyGeniuses; Francis Albert Sinatra and William James Basie.
