‘The Eagles’ Founding Member Randy Meisner Passes Away At 77

Randy Meisner, bassist, vocalist and co-founding member of legendary rock band ‘The Eagles’ has died at the age of 77.

According to reports, Meisner passed away due following complications due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) Wednesday night. The news was broken by the band on Thursday.

In a statement released by the band, the group said:

“Randy was an integral part of the Eagles and instrumental in the early success of the band…His vocal range was astonishing, as is evident on his signature ballad, ‘Take It to the Limit.'”.

Randy Meisner co-founded the now iconic band with his bandmates Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Bernie Leadon. While he was primarily the known for being the group’s bassist, he was also an incredibly talented singer and songwriter.
Meisner even co-wrote and sang “Take It to the Limit.”

The band has also confirmed funeral arrangements are currently pending.
