This show is a total musical experience, because this genre of music now called “YACHT ROCK” has been elevated to a sensation both on radio and in live-performing venues in cities all over the country, and in cities like Vegas, Atlantic City, and right here in the Big Apple New York City! In fact, it’s now world-wide forcing music radio power networks to have their own Yacht Rock Stations, 24/7! Here is how it got its name…Yacht Rock is “Soft Rock”, rebranded! In 2005, a TV special called “Yacht Rock” defined that name, because the playlist on these wealthy yachts off the coast of California and in the Caribbean, the yacht owners would play songs from 1975 to about 1985… that was the music of choice. So, we’re talking such artists as HALL & OATES, KENNY LOGGINS, ABBA, AMBROSIA, LIONEL RICHIE, MICHAEL MCDONALD, CHRISTOPHER CROSS, BILLY OCEAN, and TOTO… just to name a few! And as my guest this Saturday night is the BEST and, in my opinion, the greatest Yacht Rock band in the country! they are THE DOCKSIDERS, who are enjoying a super-successful residency in Las Vegas at one of the most beautiful hotels on the strip, The Venetian! Their theater and night club called “1923 LIVE” is the loudest and most popular speakeasy concept in the country! “1923 LIVE” is a huge hit in Las Vegas and selling out show after show because of this great Yacht Rock Band, THE DOCKSIDERS! So, I’m proud to say they are my special guests Saturday night, and we are featuring an exclusive interview with this 4-time Grammy nominee, lead vocalist, record producer, award-winning recording engineer, and founder of this mind-bending Yacht Rock band, THE DOCKSIDERS’ KEVIN SUCHER!!!
