Hello my friends!
When THE BEATLES wrote “Love Me Do“, and “Don’t Let Me Down”…Did they realize that the word “DO“ accentuates the positive, and the word “DON’T” accentuates the negative when writing those songs? Yes, here is a case where one word is the spark plug for the story that the entire lyric is about!
So, this Saturday night’s theme, or concept, examines how those two little words “DO” and “DON’T” are the driving force of those hit songs! Here are some examples… ELVIS PRESLEY had a giant hit with just that one word “Don’t”! Or BOBBY FREEMAN’S big hit of 1958, “Do You Wanna Dance”….The word “DO” is important to force the question, because without that word… the title is “Wanna Dance”, which has no force or power to the request!
Also, I bet it would amaze us all if we had to count how many times in one day we use those two little words “DO” and “DON’T”. DO you think you can count how many times? Or maybe you DON’T care! So, you see why it was a fun challenge to see what kind of playlist those two little words could inspire!
Well, to find out… join me this Saturday night… Right here on Music Radio 77 WABC, and you’ll be AMAZED! So, “DON’T” miss this show, because if you “DO”, you’ll be sorry you did!! LOL!
