Crystal Gayle is a recipient of the Grammy for the best female country vocal performance, and was nominated several times thereafter in the 1970s. She has also won 5 Academy of Country Music Awards, 2 Country Music Association Awards, and 3 American Music Awards. Rolling Stone ranked her among the 100 Greatest Country Artists of all time. CMT ranked her within their list of the 40 greatest women of country music. Crystal Gayle has her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2017.
Her million-selling, international hit ”Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue” and her duet with country singer Eddie Rabbit (“You and I”), also reached the #1 spot on all Country and Pop Top 40 charts.
