It’s safe to say that classic rock never dies, and the generations have been proving it over and over again.
On the latest season of ‘American Idol’, fans were introduced to 18-year-old Colin Stough, an HVAC technician from Amory, Mississippi. The youngster performed an original rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s classic track ‘Simple Man’.
It goes without saying that Stough put on a perform that not only wowed the judges, but everyone watching at home, too.
Luke Bryan, who is an award winning country artist, was quoted on the show saying “This is what ‘American Idol’ is all about!” After the awe stricken judges gave Stough his golden ticket to Hollywood, they invited the singer’s mother in to meet Luke Bryan- a long time dream of hers.
Colin Stough’s rendition of the timeless record managed to get listens up to a point that it landed the track back on the billboard charts.
We can’t wait to see what Colin Stough has in store for us this ‘Idol’ season!
