Hello Everyone!
This Saturday night, we define greatness by recognizing 3 artists that, in our opinion, have had a major effect on most recording artist in R&B ,Rock, and yes… even Country artists! Even today’s young recording stars would have to admit that in them exists the influences of SAM COOKE, or MARVIN GAYE, and the masterful, soulful artistry of JACKIE WILSON…Three professors who harnessed greatness! Now, don’t get me wrong, there are others who can make the claim of equal size, but they came later…like THE BEATLES, or ELTON, or BILLY JOEL, these three were influenced by them.
ELVIS was King, but he even admitted to me these professors, SAM, MARVIN, and JACKIE, had a major influence on him. So, this Saturday night, we define greatness by playing recording masterpieces by MARVIN GAYE, JACKIE WILSON, and the great SAM COOKE!!! Other professors such as RAY, ARETHA, ETTA,SINATRA, BENNETT, & ELLA will make, for me, future defining greatness shows!
But this Saturday night, sit back in AWE and be blown away by greatness!!! AND, on top of all the greatness one can stand, my surprise guest is BOBBY BROOKS WILSON, the son of the great JACKIE WILSON, whose life story and journey is about to be released in theaters…and it is a powerful one you won’t want to miss! The greatness of Jackie’s son Bobby will lift you higher and higher!!!
