The ”Ohio Express” was instrumental in the development of bubblegum – the “bubblegum” pop sound that is. The music was precisely aimed at the youth market and quickly captured their target audience. “The Ohio Express” started out as a studio band and due to almost immediate response and sales had to develop a band to go on the road for concerts and personal appearances. “O/E” gave us such delights as “Yummy Yummy, Yummy” and “Chewy Chewy”. Our visitor today was (and is) an original member and drummer of the touring band.it sounds complicated – it is and we will Pop the Bubble mystery on Saturday’s show.

Tim was the founding member of “Sir Timothy and the Royals”. They trained quickly were renamed “Ohio Express” – helped develop the new teen genre “bubblegum” – and sent out to entertain the world.
