It’s a #SwinginSummer ‘Sundays With Sinatra’ starring Francis Albert and Nelson Riddle!
It’s a well known fact that Nelson Riddle was one of Frank Sinatra’s favorite and ‘go-to’ arrangers.
In his own right, Nelson Riddle was a musical genius.
An Academy Award winner for his music in the 1974 film, ‘The Great Gatsby’ – writing music and themes for ‘Batman’ (the movie and the TV show), the ‘Route 66’ Theme, ‘The Untouchables’ and even ‘The Bob Newhart Show’!
However, as I’ve said here before, it was with Nelson Riddle that Frank Sinatra seemed to have rediscovered and reinvented himself as a breakout, ‘pure swinging,’ dynamic and premier interpreter of the American Songbook.
This week, we feature the very best of Nelson Riddle’s greatest and most famous collaborations – with one Francis Albert Sinatra!
In NYC, it’s Ramsey Mazda’s Sundays with Sinatra on 77 Music Radio WABC.
