Hey Cousins!
MICKY DOLENZ began his acting career as a child (1956) – starring in a TV Show called “Circus Boy”. He played “Corky” an orphan water boy who took care of the elephants in a one ring circus.
Micky graduated high school in Los Angeles and attended Valley College in Van Nuys, California, where he studied architecture.
His life was about to change. He auditioned for NBC and won the part of the drummer on a new show- “The Monkees”.
Band members: Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Davy Jones and Peter Tork took the audience on a adventure of music and fun.
The show and the band quickly became a major part of America’s TV family.
In 1989 the Monkees received a TV star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame and their albums and TV reruns continue to be a favorite part of our lives.
Mickey Dolenz is the last surviving member of The Monkees – his concerts continue to draw big crowds and “Corky” continues to please his audience.
Join the Cuz, and let’s welcome MICKEY DOLENZ to MusicRadio WABC. (Saturday 8/30/24)
